Once married, Celeste (Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) are an extremely developed ex-couple. Despite being separated, they still live next door to one another, spend nearly all of their free time together and are constantly well informed about the other’s comings and goings. They get on so well that even their best friends can’t bear the company of the “officially separated” sappy couple any more. But when successful and confident Celeste asks the less ambitious and once again unemployed Jesse for a divorce, that’s when things really become difficult.
