1994 and a reunited Germany is in the grip of techno fever. Not that Karl Schmidt (Charly Hübner) catches much wind of it in his shared house for ex-junkies. But when charismatic music producer Ferdi (Detlev Buck) walks into Karl’s life that suddenly changes. Attempting to combine the hippie spirit of the Sixties and the Nineties’ rave scene, Ferdi has his sights set on a national Magical Mystery tour with his label’s techno stars. The only thing is he needs a driver – one that doesn’t drink and who’ll look after the permanently drunk musicians whatever the hour.
