THE SALT PATH is a British film directed by Marianne Elliott, making her feature film debut. The screenplay was written by Rebecca Lenkiewicz and is based on the story of the same name by Raynor Winn. A married couple (Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs) receive a bad health diagnosis and become homeless due to insurmountable circumstances. They decide to walk the South West Coast Path – the longest uninterrupted footpath in England – from Minehead to Poole along the Devon, Cornwall and Dorset coast.
